I was unhappy with the result of a recall for the engine cover problem. Why have a recall when you don't have a replacement? I am concerned that the engine cleanliness will be compromised without a cover and may cause problems down the road that Volkswagen will not be responsible for. It seems that this problem is a nation wide thing and seems irresponsible for Volkswagen not to be more urgent in getting new covers to rectify the problem. It also seems that these covers can be acquired on the open market?
